I know!

It has been about 9 months since I blogged last. I haven't forgot, I just have had alot on going on. As many of you know we have moved back to Huntsville, Al in December. It is so good to be back with family and familar faces. With that said, I am missing our life in Tulsa. I miss the Sundays with The Bursons and spending time with Zoe and Christian. Zoe, Christian, if you are reading this please know Aunt Mic loves you very much! I also miss our neighborhood friends and my job. I didn't realize I would miss it and the people so much. But I do...so much!

We have had alot of fun making up for lost time with family. We get together every weekend for dinner. Recently all the boys and men went camping. They called it the Florence "T" party. They slept in a TeePee, had Tilipia and Tator Tots, Tubing on the Tenneessee River, Twinkies and Iced Tea. The girls did what we did best...had a party..shopping party that is. Tons of girls laughing, shopping and eating of course. Lots of great food! We are so blessed to have spend lots of time with our niece Olivia. She is so observant and smart and so cute! I love to see her play with my kids. I remember having tons of cousins around and all the fun we had. I miss those days but atleast my kids have that.

I have learned alot about our family since moving to Alabama. 1. I am horrible at the phone thing. I am horrible at returning phone calls and picking up the phone to check on my peeps. I am trying to get better so please bare with me. 2. David is a leader. He is emerging as a strong leader. 3. Kailyn is VERY creative and full of life. 4. Austin is so insightful and we are seeing that take shape. I am amazed by them. 5. We are more healthy. Bobby and I competed in a weightloss competition hosted by our Gym and came in 2nd place. The competition helped us realize the junk we were putting in our bodies. It is amazing how much better we feel. The energy!! 6. We are outdoor people. We love camping, hiking, fishing, etc. 7. This is the most important. We are conquerors in Christ! We are warriors! We are Victors not victims. We are Champions!

We have found a wonderful church home! The Rock Family Worship Center. We love it and the kids look forward to going. They are involved in Royal Rangers. It is a combination of Awana and Boy Scouts. They go on camping trips and have fitness goals and earn patches. The biggest thing is theya re learning scripture and how God is moving in their lives. I love asking about what they learned in class. Right now they are learning more about how the Holy Spirit moves and how to recognize Him speaking. I am still learning. Kailyn is writing a book on all the questions we has for God. I will not elaborate on this because she asked me not to for now. She wants to finish the book, sell it and give the money to missions. That in itself should tell you about where her heart is. Bobby and I can't wait to get involoved! We will be going through some classes at The Rock and then we will be able to serve.

Now that I have caught you up on where we are and what we are doing, I will be changing the direction of the blog and I will blog more often. I hope you enjoy following along with our journey. Be blessed!

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://5walkers.blogspot.com/2010/04/i-know-i-know.html' title='I know! Where has the summer gone? We have had so much fun! The kids spent two weeks with Granny and Grandfather and lets just say Bobby and I have some reprogramming to do. I wouldn't say they were spoiled...they were blessed and will carry theses memories forever! The boys talked about rough housing with their Uncle Dennie and Grandfather and Kailyn loved shopping and getting her ears pierced with Aunt Robin and Granny. Bobby and I enjoyed being a couple. As much as we enjoy and love our kids it is amazing what time alone as a couple can do for your marriage. This week we are heading to the beach to meet my family. This will be our first family vacation and I am so excited. I am looking forward to listening to the guys play guitar and sing, crab hunting with the kids, cards, sun, sand, and LOTS of family. I will post some pictures of our Wild, Wonderful, Family Vacation. Everyone have a great week!

Finally an Up-Date

I am not sure of where to start or if I remember how do blog. LOL! OK I will start with why I have not up-dated our site in so long. I have joined a great team of people (Generations Healthcare) that help senior citizens with the education of Medicare and help them choose a plan that is best fitted to them. I love my job but I have found it is a bit consuming. As many of you may know I am a "Mother Hen" and find it difficult to just go on with life and not be apart of theirs. I have so many people that do not have family support or someone to look in on them. It saddens me and makes me very greatful that I have a family that loves me and cares for me. I recently had surgery and some complications but I am recovering slowly but surely. Thank you for all your prayers and help over the past weeks. I couldn't have gone through this without you! Bobby has had his hands full with taking of me and the kids. Ladies and Gentleman: I would like to announce Bobby as Husband and Father of the Year!!!! The kids are growing and I am so proud of them. They are very active in the neighborhood(in other words lots of friends and they come here). Austin has recently earned his red and white belt in Karate and is on his way to Black Belt. David has decided he needed a break from soccer to pursue his social skills (AKA being a great friend) and Kailyn is doing a great job playing soccer. We have had so much fun watching her. The kids are so much fun to be around. I think this is my favorite stage. Of course I think I have said that about every stage but it still rings true. I love being a mom and I love the season of life I am in. God has and is so good and as I drive down the road or fold laundry I meditate on His goodness and it overwhelms me. I am a child of God!!! I am royalty, I am a princess of the Most High! Say that to yourself and say it with confidence. Doesn't that give you the confidence to...Oh I don't know...share the Great news of God's love, forgive someone who has wronged you or even forgive yourself! Shout it to the mountain top! Oh I hope you are as excited as I am. It gives you a different perspective of who you are.

Spring is here finally in Tulsa and we are loving it. The trees are in bloom and the flowers are showing off. The weather is perfect for strolls around the pond, laying under the trees, and watching the kids play in the yard. I love this time of year...A new beginning!! I am reminded of God giving us a new start, a clean slate everyday. Then I think to myself...how am I making a new start, what am I doing to show appreciation for the grace God has given me? Am I showing that to others? Do I give that same grace to my husband and kids? Do they see God in me? I would like to say that my family and friends see Christ in me all the time. But I know my faults and I know the answer is no, they do not see Christ in me at all times. This past Sunday my pastor talked about God's love, acceptance and forgiveness. I do not see myself as pessimistic but I was looking at life as "what is the next disaster?" I am not trusting or have the faith that is called of me. God loves me...he wants to give us His blessings, God accepts me...as I am (before I confessed my sins), and God forgives...He forgave, he forgives, and will forgive. Enough said. But I would like to point out that if God forgives (past, present and future) and gives us a clean slate why can't we do the same? Why do we spend so much time allowing Satan to destroy our thinking and bring us down for sin. That is condemning after God has forgiven us. In Romans it tells us there is NO condemnation in Christ. We spend too much time condemning others of their sin. That is not our job we as Christians need to forgive, encourage, accept, love and support. I know this is random but Sunday I was meditating on God's Love, Forgiveness, and Acceptance. I allow Satan to invade my mind and condemn me for the past and allow him to destroy my thinking for the future. NOT anymore! I will fix my eyes on my SAVIOR! I will find comfort and strength in Him. I hope you find encouragement from this. I love you and will talk to you soon.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and I hope you did too. Bobby and I packed the van with 3 kids, 2 dogs, and a whole lot of fun. Our first stop was Florence Alabama. We spent the night with Bobby's parents and headed to Florence S.C. We had the best time hanging out with mom and daddy and loved spending time with Michael, Kristen and Brennan! Kristen and me helped mom with the cooking of Thanksgiving dinner and boy did we eat...we should been ashamed of how much we ate. Then there was the desserts. Oh My! I think I ate about 3 pounds of Kristen's Peanut butter candy and Chocolate pies, Raspberry salad, Banana pudding, and oh I can't go on. I have to lose 15 pounds before I can go back home. Daddy is doing ok since his amputation and he still has a long recovery but he is strong. Daddy and Michael got the guitars and played while the kids danced around. Golly that sounds very "little house on the prairie." I love to hear daddy play and sing.

We recovered from dinner and on Friday went to the church to take some pictures in front of the Christmas tree. The process was actually painless. Michael set everything up and I think we captured some great pictures. After pictures the girls went shopping and Bobby took the kids to the movies.

Saturday, on our way back home to Tulsa, we stopped in at Bobby's parents to stay. Bobby's dad took us to Miss. Annie's Beer Garden for dinner. It was so much fun eating, talking, and laughing. Oh and Bama beat Auburn... what a great day!

We got home late on Sunday and Bobby and I are fighting something...not sure if it is the flu or what but when mom and daddy are sick it isn't fun. I am now working with Generations Health care and love it! I am still in the training phase the people I work and train with are amazing! Please be praying for us during this adjustment. The video was like Michael Jackson's Thriller so cool to watch but not my thing. Anyway, We had a great time hanging out and had a great time at Universal as well. I came home Sunday and hated to leave him. He will be home Thursday so I am looking forward to it. Oh I thinks my kids second best home away from us is the Burson's. Billy had them convinced that a donkey turned into a horse. HAHAHA It is a long story but it is HILARIOUS! I hope you have a great week! I am signing out so I can celebrate my birthday...I am taking a nap...is that old or just being smart?

Fair Days...Best Friends!

This has been a roller coaster of a week! A friend of mine went to be with Jesus, we helped the Burson's move into their new home, I helped set up the book fair at school, Bobby has had programs, soccer practice and we ended the week at the Tulsa State Fair! This week I have to remember to take life in and enjoy it! Be with the ones you love, reach out to help others and have FUN!

The fair was a blast and ginormous!!! We went with the Bursons and their parents. We ate our "Fair" share of pizza, hamburgers, cotton candy, and funnel cake. I did not get a corn dog...I may have to go back. The kids rode anything and everything that could make them sick. Well I need to go so I can finish watching the Bama game! ROll Tide!

Have a great week and I love you gals and guys!

Happy Birthday David!

Well, I am here to announce that 9 years ago today David Christain Walker was born. He was 8 pds. 4 oz. and 21 inches long. He was our biggest baby but has the biggest heart. We were going to name him Brandon Cole but I had kidney stones throughout my pregnancy so we found it fitting to name him after the greatest stone thrower...David. My mom and daddy came from S.C. to be there for David's big arrival. We would "talk" to David and tell him he had to wait on Nana and Big Daddy to get here before he could come out. Sure enough, David waited on Nana and Big Daddy and he even let all of us get a great night of sleep. The next morning Bobby, Daddy and our neighbor Ken went to the golf course to play eighteen. Mom, me and Austin stayed behind to relax and get our clothes together for dinner that night. We were suppose to go to Outback and I was craving it and therefore very excited. Anyway, the guys were on the 11 hole and I called them and said instead of dinner lets have a baby. We loaded up and at 4 pm David was born. They laid him on my chest and he was a beautiful blue. We had 2 long minutes of a scare but after some oxygen he was doing fine. We know he has a great call on his life. When he was 4 months old he was diagnosed with RSV. I was never so scared I would loose my baby. I felt like a new mom all over again. David brings so much laughter and love to our family. Austin had someone to look after and love only like a big brother can and David had Austin to look up to. David LOVES his big brother. They are so close...almost like twins. Where you find one you find the other.

David has a very kind and tender heart. He is always looking out for everyone else, wants to include everyone and make everyone happy. It upsets him to see someone sad. He is ALL BOY! He loves to take care of momma but loves his guy time with Daddy and Austin. He has an amazing laugh. David accepted Christ April of last year soon (after Austin did). He wanted to be like his big brother. I was so proud when Austin said don't do it to be like me. Do it because you want to be like Jesus. I wept! The days I feel like I fail as a mother God gives me a glimpse of accomplishment. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. David has not been baptised because he is waiting on Big Daddy and Nana, Uncle Michael, and Aunt Kristen, Brennan, Granny and Grandfather, Aunt Robin, Uncle Denny, and Olivia to come and be part of it. So Family if you are reading this you know what to do. ROAD TRIP. As you can tell I am very proud of David, Austin and Kailyn. I love you and have an AMAZING week!

Happy Birthday Austin!

Today is a great day! Today we celebrate the birth of Stephen Austin. Eleven years ago I gave birth to a beautiful 8 pound baby boy. We named him Stephen Austin. He is named after his Daddy, Grandfather, Big Daddy and Uncle Michael. I would like to share what happened that day...don't worry no gory details. Bobby came home early to eat lunch with me. He ordered pizza from D.J's Pizza. We ate our mushroom and green pepper pizza then headed off to the furniture store. We had to find a bed so my mom would have a place to sleep when she came to save us...I mean help us. As soon as we stepped in the furniture store at 2:33 pm I looked at Bobby and said we don't have time to find a bed today...it's time! We were off to the hospital after Bobby took me back to the house to vacuum (of course) and grab our hospital bag. We arrived at the hospital at 3:40 pm and Austin was born at 10:40 pm. I remember the joy that rushed over me when I looked in his precious face. Bobby and I were so excited and scared to death. Bobby and I feel so privileged to have him our life. To think that God entrusted us with the responsibility to provide, love and guide for not just Austin but all of our babies just humbles us. It is also a reminder to trust God. We cannot be everything to our kids but we have a heavenly Father who can. It is our job to lead our children there to His feet.

I am so very proud of Austin. Austin asked Jesus in his Heart in February of 07. He was Baptized in April of 07. He loves Jesus and tells everyone that Jesus loves them and died just for them. Austin loves his brother and sister, although they do get heated with each other. He is a great thinker, He is an Honor Roll Student and often on the Principal's List. He is a great helper and a thoughtful friend. He is respectful and courteous. I have to tell you he has a great sense of humor. He will catch you off guard and make you belly laugh. I love to listen in when all the kids play together. I can be two rooms away and hear deep belly laughs coming from his room and it will be the kids playing and joking. I love it! I remember when Austin was about 3 and David was 1. The boys were really quiet in David's room and I walked back to check on them. When I opened the door I found a winter wonderland. Austin was holding a bottle of Baby Powder and the room, bed, furniture, Austin and David were covered. What a mess! I laughed so hard...there was no way I could be mad. It was hilarious. I have so many of those stories. As you read this remember the times your kids made you laugh. Remember to smile at them, hug them and love them. I hope each of you have a great day! Feel free to leave Austin a birthday message today...he would love to read them!

I couldn't wait to share these new pictures with you! Rachel did a great job and we are so excited about them. These pictures symbolize a new chapter in our lives. The Philbrook Museum in Tulsa is a beautiful back drop. I hope you can come here one day.

Bobby's parents are coming in this weekend and we are excited to spend time with them. They are coming to help us celebrate Austin's 11th birthday and David's 9th birthday. Golly the kids are growing up so fast. I don't feel old enough to have an 11 year old or a 9 year old. Where does the time go?

I will be taking lots of pictures of the party this weekend so be looking for those. I need to go. West Virginia is playing and I need to be watching. Have a great weekend! It was so sweet. Bobby asked her to go on a "date" with him and of course she said yes. What more could a girl ask for...time with her daddy. Kailyn adores her daddy and I know how she feels. I adore my daddy. Kailyn asked him what she should wear and Bobby picked out his favorite sundress for her. And Kailyn picked a shirt for Bobby that would match her dress. It was the sweetest thing I have seen! They had so much fun! They had dinner at Chick-Fil-A and then went to Build-A-Bear for more fun. She picked out the cutest Rabbit with floppy ears. They finished off the night at Toys-R-Us. Kailyn picked out birthday gifts for Austin and David. When they got home she was so excited to tell me about everything. Bobby and I are hoping to set the standard of how she should be treated on a date instead of letting the poor soul, who is brave enough to date Bobby Walker's daughter, set the standard. She is to treated like a princess and nothing less...I mean she is the daughter of the King! She is to be treated with respect and honor. My daddy did a great job of"weeding" out the guys that were not good for me. I may have put up a fight then but I respect the stand her took on my behalf. Thank you daddy for showing me what a Godly man looks like. Now it is Bobby's job to do the same for Kailyn. Here are a few pictures of Kailyn and Bobby before they left on their date.

First Day of School:)

The kids had their first day of school. They were up and dressed an hour before they had to go to the bus stop. I walked the kids to the bus stop along with 5 other moms and we waved our children off. We stood there with tears...from being so giddy! I'm teasing. We love our kids but it has been a long summer. I think the kids were ready to get back in a routine too. I forgot how much I could accomplish with the kids in school. I was able to clean the house and run a few errands. It was wonderful!

When they got home I asked each of them what they liked the most about their day...Austin said he liked lunch the best (they have Mazzio's Pizza everyday). David has lots of friends from last year in his class again this year. Which could be a problem because he loves to socialize. Kailyn loves the fact that her friend Brittney is riding the bus with her this year. She also said she looooves music. That doesn't surprise me because she is always singing along to music and making up her own songs. Christian will be riding the bus to our house till the Burson home is complete. Kailyn is in hog heaven...Brittney and Christian on the bus...at the same time . We are looking forward to a great year. I hope you have a great week. I have posted a few pictures of their first day. I love you guys and gals!

McDonalds? What about Oprah?

I have been debating whether or not to stand on my soap box because I don't want this to be considered an attack. Having said that have decided to stand. I received an e-mail this week asking me to sign a petition to boycott McDonald's. I am shortening what the e-mail said due to space...here is the gist...McDonald's has adopted the same thought process and/or language as gay right groups. They say if you stand against SSM(Same Sex Marriage) you harbor hate. I wish I had a picture of a soap box because I'm stepping on it now.

We, as Christ Followers, tend to put too much energy into boycotts that do not move hearts to Christ. Why are we focusing on boycotting Disney or McDonald's over SSM or gay rights? Are you ready to boycott other companies, restaurant's, clothing lines, stores, athletic groups, etc? What about Abercombie using young people that are half dressed (and that is putting it lightly) in their windows and advertising. Victoria's Secret uses half-naked women in their magazines, t.v. runway show, or store windows. Do you still give them your business? I could go on and on. Here is my point. We should show the love of Christ in all areas of our lives! When we are signing petitions to boycott, we come across as the haters "they" say we are. What good are we doing? What image of Christ are we projecting? We have so much more to worry about. For instance - Oprah! That's right I said it...OPRAH. She has millions of people that watch her show, read her magazine, and now watch her on the internet. People are following her and her "spiritual leaders" like they are gods. They are also swallowing her line of crap... hook line and sinker. Here are just a few of the thoughts she and her "teachers" are promoting...believing in yourself, positive thinking, that we have the power in ourselves to make things happen, God is in everything and everything is God. That we are God. In short she takes the Bible and leaves out the power of the Holy Spirit. She says that we have what it takes to change ourselves and the world around us.

ATTENTION!! We only have the power to change IF we have the Power of the Holy Spirit living in us.

I have an idea. Let's forget boycotts and put our energy into loving people. If we focused on serving and loving others we would see droves of people come to know our Lord and Savior. If we focus on boycotts and "hate language" we will not see hearts, lives and families changed. Why give them a reason to talk about us and call us haters? I don't agree with homosexuality, but I know God told us to love everyone and to show them Christ! Love you all and I hope you have a great week. Remember: For God so loved the WORLD that he gave His only son that WHOSOEVER believes in Him will not parish but have eternal life. John 3:16.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://5walkers.blogspot.com/2008/08/mcdonalds-what-about-oprah.html' title='McDonalds? Have a great week and I will talk to you soon.

Happy

I found song yesterday by Natasha Bedingfield called "Happy." It talks about the landlord knocking on the door asking for the rent and that life is not great. The song goes on to say... what am I whining about? I've got my dreams, life and my love, got my friends and the sunshine above. All these beautiful reasons to be happy. I am sure I butchered it so go check it out. I bring this up to say that no matter what our circumstances might be we have many beautiful reasons to be happy. We have family, friends, homes, a job and the list goes on. Count your every blessing!

O.K enough of the cheesy. The stories I am about to tell are not for those who will be easily offended. And yes, I have permission from those humiliated to tell them. As you know, daddy had an accident involving a pole truck and his foot. I know what you must be thinking...this sounds like the start to a really bad joke. Believe me I wish it was but it is not. He has been in and out of the hospital for about 2 weeks. Wednesday, June 25th, the surgeon amputated daddy's big toe and the ball of his foot still does not look good. They put a wound vac there and will check the ball of his foot again on Monday, June 30th, to see how everything is healing. Please continue to pray for rejuvenation. Through all of this we have found humor. For instance, my brother was going to get daddy the individual toe socks for Christmas but that seems mean now. Or if he goes for a pedicure, he should get at least a 1o% discount. Not fair to pay full price for only 9 toes. Now for a story I could not make up myself. I think it was last Saturday, my brother, Michael, was mowing for my parents and my mom was cleaning a riding toy for Brennan, my nephew. Well, there was a chair in the middle of the deck to remind everyone the board was weak (FYI...it has been there since daddy's accident so nothing new). Mom moved it because it was in her way as she cleaned the toy...she fell through. I am serious. After I picked my jaw up off the floor and laughed so hard I nearly peed I asked if she was okay. Let me put your mind at ease so you enjoy this. She is okay. Michael took her to the E.R and I am sure the doctors were thinking her and daddy were trying to kill each other or trying to collect each other's life insurance. Anyway, she came home with crutches. Now you can start laughing because both mom and daddy have matching crutches. I can imagine them playing Paper, Rock, Scissors to see who try to make coffee. They not only have matching crutches but t.v trays that hold the remote, phone, drinks and snacks till someone comes to check on them. Pitiful isn't it? I told her I was going to buy them matching medical bracelets. The phrase "help I've fallen and I get get up" now means so much more.

Our summer vacation has been crazy busy. Most of it has been on the road. The kids spent 10 days with Bobby's parents while Bobby and I had some much needed time together. We went to Dogwood Canyon and it was beautiful. On our way back home to Tulsa we stopped in Southaven and brought Kailyn's friend home with us. Last Friday, we had a double date with Billy and Anna Burson and had a great time. We ate at a great local restaurant and then saw Phantom of the Opera. The play was AWESOME! It was so nice to have adult conversation and get dressed up. Oh! We now have a babysitter. Having her will make our lives easier. One last tid-bit and I will leave you alone. The Walker's are having pictures taken tomorrow morning. Did I mention we have to be across town by 7:45 AM. I think I have lost my mind completely. I hope to have them posted in a couple of weeks. I love you guys and gals! Make a great week and be HAPPY!

Happy Father's Day!

I want to wish my daddy, Bobby, and my father-in-law Steve a Happy Father's Day! I want to take a moment to tell you how special each of these men are in my life. Each of them play such an important role in my life.

My daddy obviously has been there from the very beginning. He taught me to ride my bike, throw a baseball, and treat people with the up most respect. My daddy is a man of strong character. He taught me the love of Christ through the example he set. His hands are rough and callused because of hard work but his blue eyes warm your heart. When my heart was broken daddy was always there to help mend it. When I needed someone to listen and give me advice he always has an answer. Daddy made me laugh. He protected my heart from the world. Although I am grown, I am still his little girl and always will be. I love you daddy!

By watching my daddy, I knew what I wanted in a husband and father for my children. God gave me Bobby. Bobby is strong, caring, protective, loving, gracious and kind. He is a wonderful daddy to our 3 beautiful children and a husband I have always asked God for. He is opposite from me and brings balance to our family. Bobby works hard to provide but works even harder to make sure our emotional needs are met. Just a side note -meeting my needs are not easy...lol! The kids adore him and thinks he hung the moon...much like I still do about my daddy. Bobby seeks God's heart and what more could I ask for? I can't! Which brings me to his dad. Bobby would not be the dad he is today without the example of his dad, Steve.

Steve has always treated, loved, and given to me as if I was his own. Steve is incredibly generous with everything he has. He has such a tender heart and I love him. Thank you Steve for Bobby because without you I would not have him. You have raised a son that is perfect for me and our children.

These men are not perfect but they rely on Christ in their weakness and look to Him for guidance. If you do not have a father in your life remember we have a heavenly father who loves us as we are. He died for our sins to give us eternal life. He longs to have a relationship with you. I love you and Happy Father's Day!

Nothing is impossible

I have a song stuck in my head...Nothing is impossible for Thee. He went into surgery with 5 toes and came out with 5. The doctors pinned the first 2 and stitched the laceration between the great toe and the second. He will have those pins in for 6 to 8 weeks. They are watching the ball of his foot and the great toe because the tissue damage is a concern. He is resting and the doctors are keeping him comfortable.

Many of you have called or sent e-mails asking how you can help. Continue to pray for his recovery. Pray against infection. Pray that the tissue in his great toe and the ball of his foot will "wake up" and heal. The biggest thing is pray he will rest. Daddy is hard working, a generous friend, a husband and daddy that loves with everything he has. Saying all of that, he does not know how to rest and does not like to rest. Daddy defines rest as putting in a full day of work (in the hot sun), mow the yard, build a shed, help a friend set up a tree stand, and what ever else he can find to do. That is one day. Daddy may be able to go home tomorrow but he will have to pass the doctors tests. Thank you again for listening and praying. I love you!

Pray Fervantly

First, let me apologize for any misspelled words or bad grammar. It is 1:00 am and I am trying to get to sleep. I am sending this out in a request for prayer. The scriptures tell us when we seek God's face we will find Him...He will answer prayer. I am depending on it tonight. I am in South Carolina this week visiting my family. We got here Sunday evening around 7pm. This afternoon my daddy called the house to inform us he broke his foot and the hospital will be keeping him over night. For those of you who do not know my daddy, he is very stubborn and would have drove home on the foot if the hospital would not have admitted him. He had been in the E.R for a couple of hours before he called to tell us know. Mom and I got the hospital and he was in alot of pain. OK... so this is what happened. I will try to make this short as I can. Daddy and another guy were loading up a pole truck and his partner stabilized his side by letting down the steel "arm." Well he also let daddy's down and daddy was not clear. He tried to yell out to the guy but the guy could not hear over the engine of the truck. Thank the Lord he was wearing steel toed boots! Daddy has what they call a crushing injury. I will not get to graphic but he has 3 broken toes, gashes and his foot to say the very least is REALLY messed up. He will be having surgery tomorrow (Tuesday) and we are hoping they can put pins in the 3 toes. But we are looking at a very good chance of amputation. Please pray with me and my family that he hill not have to have the toes amputated and he will come out of surgery with a future that will allow him to return to his daily activities and routine. Pray he will see the importance of listening to the doctors so he can heal properly. I am asking for a miracle and as you know God is so much bigger than this. God has seen my family through alot worse than this. My mom was diagnosed with a rare adrenal tumor when I was (I think about 5 yrs. old) very young and God was faithful. He delivered a miracle and saved my mom. He proved he was yet again faithful when my daddy was run over by a several ton lime truck. When I say lime truck I am not talking about the fruit. It is a type of fertilizer. My point is God was faithful and delivered my daddy from it. I know my God is faithful and God will deliver a miracle again. I thank you for your prayers. I thank you for your friendship. I love you and I will keep you updated.

Memories

Since the last blog we have been camping, had a Memorial Day Party, and dropped the kids off at Bobby's mom's. It has been so much fun making memories in Tulsa. I will be sharing some of the highlights from our memories.

Our camping trip was hilarious! I made reservations at a camp ground about an hour away from our home. What I didn't realize is it was for RVs. We pulled up to the check in center and the man (Mr. Lewis) would look at Bobby and then back at the rear of the "man" van. I guess he was looking for our rv. He had a smirk on his face as he wished us luck and we drove off. We found our site and there was nothing but a concrete slab (where our rv would go), a small patch of grass, and a small fire pit. Bobby just started laughing and said "well no wonder Mr. Lewis had a smirk...he was wondering how we would put a tent on the site." We did it! Captian Wilderness, also known as Bobby, set our tent up nad secured it. That night the wind blew and it rained so hard I thought we would have our own version of the tornado sence in Wizard of Oz. The next morning our camping neighbors were surprised to see we were ok and our tent still standing. Bobby did a great job! The kids enjoyed chopping firewood, making smores, cooking biscuits over the fire, swimming in the lake and telling ghost stories. It was a camping trip we will never forget! Ah! The memories! If you don't get this I guess you had to be there.

Bobby and I have also realized the importance of friends since moving to Tulsa. Our families are 9 hours (Bobby's parents) and 21 hours (my parents) away. We had a Memorial Day party with the Burson family and other friends. It was so much fun! We had great food, swimming in our "redneck" pool, a slippin' slide and lots of laughs. I wish all of you could have been there. Check out our face book page to see al the pictures.

I dropped the kids off at Bobby's mom and dad's house for 10 days. Bobby and I have had such a great time reconnecting. Ok. City was our first stop. We went to see Tim McGraw in concert and it was great...not even close to the Bon Jovi concert. Oh I do have to mention we made reservations (that were quickly changed) at an Ecno Lodge. For the girls reading this, that went to the Beth Moore Conference 2 years ago in Ok City, it was the same hotel. So you know how bad it was. Anyway, we found a new hotel. We are now in Springfield Mo. Bobby will be working but we will have some down time. We hope to be able to hike and some other fun stuff.

Make the memories that last a lifetime!

He is Faithful!

Welcome to our first blog! Bobby is in Springfield working this week and this has left me with alot to do this week. It is the kids last week of school and so we have parties and meetings scheduled all week. Today, however was a big day for me and Kailyn, my 6 year old. Today, I was our lunch date! She talked about today all weekend and told everyone we came in contact with. Today, I am a celebraty in her eyes! That is a lot of pressure-lol. On a side note ...when do I become uncool and she denies she even has a mom? Anyway, I was honored and 15 minutes late! :(

I left the house in what I thought would be plenty of time to start my Father's Day shopping and then pick up our lunch. I lost track of time and before I knew it I was running late. When I walked in the cafeteria I saw this beautiful little girl sobbing, tears rolling down her flushed cheeks, and waiting on her mommy. Her teacher was crouched beside reassuring her I was just late (atleast hoping I was just late). I walked over to her and she blurted out between cries...I thought you forgot. I told her "no baby I was just running behind." Her tears were quickly replaced by a smile when I showed her the Chick-Fil-A bag. On my way home, I was thinking about what she said..."I thought you forgot." My heart sank. Why would she think I would forget her...because although I love her and love spending time with her I have let her down in the past. I have been running this through my mind all day and God gently brought me to two verses one in Deuteronomy and the other in Joshua. Deuteronomy 7:9 it says, Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful... and in Joshua 1:7 God tells us He will never leave nor forsake us. Our God has , is , and will always be there for us. He is an On Time God (unlike myself)! We can always depend on him to be there. I am so thankful for a Father that knows what I need and when I need it. Sometimes it may seem he is late or not coming but remember he is always failthful...always on time!

I love you guys and gals! Have a great week!
